EDC Full Council Meeting: KCMO City Manager

EDC members and guests are invited to join us for August's EDC meeting at CrossFirst Bank. Non-EDC members are allowed one guest pass to EDC programs per year.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to our speaker's schedule, this meeting is from 8:45-9:45am instead of 8:30-9:30am.

About our keynote speaker:

Brian Platt has been the City Manager for Kansas City, MO since late 2020.  He formerly served as City Manager/Business Administrator for Jersey City, NJ, and as the City’s first Chief Innovation Officer, having established the first Jersey City Office of Innovation in 2015.  Brian previously worked in Management Consulting for McKinsey & Company and as a kindergarten teacher with Teach For America.  He completed his Masters in Public Administration at Columbia University.  His focus in Kansas City has been improving the quality and responsiveness of city services, creating a fiscally stable government organization, and expanding development in all parts of Kansas City.
