Chamber Luncheon - Inside Leawood: Growth, Development & What’s Ahead

Wednesday, October 14, 2026 (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

Get an inside look at what’s happening in Leawood during our final Chamber Luncheon of 2026!

Offering a glimpse into Leadership Leawood’s City Day (consistently a class favorite!), this program will connect attendees with City leaders and timely updates shaping Leawood’s future. Mayor Marc Elkins will open the program with a brief address before City staff share updates on:

  • Hallbrook North, the transformative mixed-use development underway near College Boulevard and State Line Road that will be anchored by Lockton Companies’ future global headquarters
  • Leawood’s adopted 2027 Budget and 2027-2031 Capital Improvement Program
  • The 5/8-cent special-purpose sales tax question that will be presented to Leawood voters in a March 2, 2027, special mail-ballot election

Whether you’re curious about Leadership Leawood, interested in the City’s latest developments or simply want to stay informed about the community where you live and work, this is your opportunity to hear directly from Leawood’s leaders.

Join us in the Oak Room at Leawood City Hall and enjoy a delicious lunch catered by Meat Mitch BBQ while gaining a closer look at the decisions, investments and projects shaping our community.
