About Leadership Leawood:
Leadership Leawood is a professional development initiative designed to cultivate and empower the next generation of leaders within our vibrant community. Over the past 5 months, our participants have delved into essential civic topics, honed their leadership skills, and forged meaningful connections with fellow professionals.

We invite you to join us for a memorable luncheon ceremony as we celebrate the achievements of our inaugural Leadership Leawood class. This event promises to be an inspiring occasion filled with recognition, reflection, and anticipation for the future.
Key Highlights:
Graduation Ceremony: Witness as our participants receive their certificates of completion and reflect on their transformative journey.
Guest Speaker: Gain insights from our distinguished keynote speaker, Megan Day, Pitmaster and Co-Owner of Burnt Finger BBQ. Jason and Megan Day are the husband and wife pitmasters behind the professional barbecue team Burnt Finger BBQ, located in the barbecue capital of the world, Kansas City. They are educators, authors, product designers, and ambassadors to the art and culture of live-fire cooking. They also have a knack for winning! This World Champion duo has walked the biggest stages in barbecue to collect top finishes at the American Royal World Series of Barbecue, Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest, the World Food Championships and hundreds of state and local events.

Special Request:
During their Non-Profit Day session, the class visited Growing Futures Early Education Center and learned of their need for books and diapers. The class kindly requests that you bring a book or diaper donation to this event, and they'll drop the donations following their ceremony.
*Growing Futures is currently in special need of bilingual and board books, along with larger-size diapers.
