EDC members and guests are invited to join us for June's EDC meeting at CrossFirst Bank. Evergy will provide an update on recent legislative activity to address the increasing power demands for economic development projects in Kansas, a can't-miss topic.
Non-EDC members are allowed one guest pass to EDC programs per year.
About our keynote speaker:
Scott Jones is responsible for fostering and maintaining Evergy relationships with local partners in the Kansas Metro area. As a Community Business Manager, he interfaces with internal departments to provide customer service and innovative solutions for local partners. He’s an experienced professional with decades of public affairs and engineering expertise. His role at Evergy also includes Economic Development and Government Affairs in the State of Kansas. Scott is a Professional Engineer and registered lobbyist in the State of Kansas and has over 30 years of experience in the energy sector. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas.
