When the economy stalled in 2020, Harris Rosen's hotel group saw business drop by half, yet not one of its 5,000 employees lost a job or missed a paycheck. Asked how, he credited "no debt and a philosophy of saying we love you." Our founder, Troy Redstone, heard the same theme again and again while interviewing business leaders for his book, 401(k) Architecture: the companies that invested in their people didn't just survive the hardest year in recent memory, many of them thrived. As he puts it, the more they cared, the better they fared. Caring isn't only a feeling; it shows up in decisions about pay, culture, and benefits. And among benefits, few say "we're invested in your future" as clearly as a retirement plan that actually works.
